According to legends Hei-Tiki was the first man on earth and originated from the stars - the first mortal man who created the first woman after his image.
The exact meaning of the symbol is disputed but the most accepted signifies fertility and is also regarded as a good luck talisman for keeping evil spirits away.

Genuine West Coast Greenstone – Kawakawa. A dark rich green with varying intermediate shades, named after the leaf of the Kawakawa. It is the main type used in gem purposes.
